Crab lovers unite and celebrate the uniqueness of this delicious crustacean. Most people that enjoy dining on seafood also enjoy eating crab and crabmeat. There are different types of crab from different parts of the world that should be listed and includes the Alaskan King Crab, the Snow Crab (Opilio), Dungeness crab, Jonas crab, Stone crab and the Maryland Blue crab.

All of these are delicious and can be prepared utilizing various cooking and preparation methods but steaming these critters is probably the most simple and best to prepare crab of any sort.

The most basic setup is to start with a large pot, put in a steamer rack, put in water, stack in your crabs, put on your favorite seasonings and steam for a few minutes until done. But of course, for as many chefs as we have, we also haveĀ as many different ways to perfectly steam crab. No matter how you slice it steaming and eating fresh crab is a delicacy in anyone's recipe book.
