We used Houseboating.org for a Houseboat rental at Lake Mead and I have to share my experience. I've never felt comelled to write a review in my life, but this time I have no choice.
When we first boarded the boat, we settled in and waited a while for instructions. After that 30 min or so we were asked to board a different boat bc this one is broken. Several things were left on that first boat that we caught the maid throwing away, what happened to phone calls??!
The second boat literally smelled like feces, we later discovered a clogged toilet that wasn't properly cleaned. Nasty.
No one warned us that we would have several hours and $1,000 charges (Yes, one thousand) in oil/gas to get from Temple Bar to the places where other people actually congregate past the narrows.
I guess the bat inhabiting the place is normal for that area, but we weren't even offered any perks for doing our own plumbing. When we called to complain about the suprise charges we were just told tough luck. Next time we'll find an outfit in Callville Bay, seems worth the extra money now.
